What to Expect on the Day of Surgery
A high level of care starts before your pet is even scheduled for surgery. A member of our team will review all options with you, and once you feel confident moving forward, we will schedule pre-anesthetic bloodwork and a date for the procedure.
Pre-anesthetic bloodwork is performed to ensure your pet is healthy enough for surgery, and it can be done the morning of, if needed.
While your pet is under our care, our team will provide:
- A dedicated team member to monitor vital signs (oxygen levels, carbon dioxide, ECG, blood pressure, and temperature), as well as diet, intake, and eliminations.
- Post-surgical therapeutic laser therapy, if indicated, to reduce pain and inflammation and help your pet heal faster.
- Soft bedding, low-stress handling, and lots of love and snuggles.
- Regular updates throughout the day.
