Our Doctor

Dr. Courtney Brunson is originally from Alabama and proudly earned both her undergraduate and veterinary degrees from Auburn University—War Eagle! She has been practicing veterinary medicine for nearly 11 years, with experience in small animal general practice, emergency medicine, and limited exotic medicine.

An avid animal lover from a young age, Dr. Courtney began volunteering in veterinary hospitals and animal rescues early on, which helped shape her compassionate approach to care.

She firmly believes that strong relationships between pets, their owners, and their veterinarians are the foundation for helping pets live long, healthy lives. She values pet owners as an essential part of the care team and encourages open communication and collaboration.

Dr. Courtney is actively involved with Elmira’s Wildlife Sanctuary and is always happy to coordinate with rescue organizations to help save and rehabilitate as many animals as possible.

In her free time, Dr. Courtney enjoys traveling with her daughters, spending time at the beach, and cheering on Auburn athletics.
